Footsteps in sidewalk crate in Calgary, Alberta

Upon coming across the “steps” on the metal crate on the sidewalk last year on an early morning walk from our hotel in Calgary, Alberta, I immediately thought of the song “Order My Steps” and took this picture. The time was right for this “post”!

A Prayer for Opportunity

Meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word. Colossians 4:3 NKJV

Father, order my steps, guide my way, and direct me to Your appointments and Your opportunities for this day. Make my way a prepared way, make my words wise words, make my responses loving responses. I ask that You would open the doors that need to be opened.

His Footsteps My Pathway: By Roy Lessin Sept 10th Devotional

Prayer answered this morning!

Attended a local men’s Bible Study for second time this morning. Men from five different Christian churches. Finished study on book of Habakkuk. Great fellowship in the Word!

May those I speak to have open hearts to receive the words that Your Holy Spirit gives me to say. May they be timely words, spoken in due season, to meet the needs of those who hear. I pray for opportunities that will allow me to speak Your truth, Your light, and Your wisdom with clarity and unction.

His Footsteps My Pathway: By Roy Lessin Sept 10th Devotional

Men from five different Christian Churches and different traditions. Not planned, but each of us had an opportunity to tell how the LORD had began a good work in us and how our faith grew over the years. Each of us had a different way the LORD worked in our lives! Amazing!

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like the precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the color of his robes It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” Psalm 133:

Give me favor where favor is needed, grace where grace is needed, and boldness where boldness is needed to declare Your great love to needy hearts.

God has created each of us with a unique contribution to make in our world and our times. No other person has our same abilities, motivations, network of friends and relationships, perspectives, ideas, or experiences. When we, like misplaced puzzle pieces, fail to show up, the overall picture is diminished.

Quote from his book: The Hole in our Gospel

Order My Steps song.

Making the most of every opportunity!

In conclusion:

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
