A Story Still Being Written Naomi and Me

As I continue adding to this story, my hope is not simply to preserve memories for my children and grandchildren, but also to encourage others who may be walking through grief, loss of a spouse, Care Partnering, loneliness, or questions about God’s purpose in suffering. Looking back over our journey, I can truly say that…

Discover Your Destiny: Finding God’s Purpose for Your Life

What gifts, passions, or experiences has God uniquely given me? Am I pursuing my own agenda or God’s kingdom purposes? What doors might God be opening in this season of life? How might God use my past struggles to help others? What step of faith or obedience is God asking me to take right now?…

“I am not a grief counselor. I am simply a husband who shared 45 years with my wife Naomi, and who has spent the last eighteen months learning what it means to grieve with hope.” Father, thank You for walking beside us through every season of life, including seasons of loss. Comfort those who are grieving today. Strengthen those who feel lonely, weary, or forgotten. Help us to be compassionate friends who listen well and love faithfully. Thank You for the hope we have through Jesus Christ and for the promise that death is not the end for those who belong to Him. Until the day of reunion, help us trust You, serve You, and find our strength in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Looking back over our journey, I can truly say that through every chapter—whether joyful or painful—the Lord has remained faithful. AND the story is still being written!

  • Purpose: Embracing Your Unique Design in Life
Our lives are not random accidents, but part of God’s greater kingdom plan. We are encouraged as believers to stop defining purpose merely through career success, recognition, or achievement and instead discover purpose through relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the strongest themes in the book is that God often uses even painful seasons—grief, disappointment, waiting, hardship, and uncertainty—to shape spiritual maturity and future ministry. Nothing surrendered to God is wasted.
  • If You Have Lost a Spouse: What Can You Rely On in Grief?
If you have lost a spouse through death, you know grief changes everything. And if you have not yet experienced that loss, most of us will one day face it with someone we love. In those moments, what can we truly rely on for hope? What does Scripture say about heaven, eternity, and those who have gone before us? These reflections are written from a Christian perspective—centered on those who follow Jesus Christ and understand salvation not as something earned by good works, but received as a free gift of grace through faith in Him. That distinction matters, because many people assume they are “Christian” by moral effort or tradition without ever engaging the deeper question Scripture raises: what does it mean to truly belong to Christ?
  • Eternity: The Perspective Beyond Our Lives
Most of us spend our lives obsessing over a tiny dot—this brief moment we can see, touch, and control. But what if the dot isn’t the point? What if it’s just the beginning? There’s a line stretching far beyond it—eternity—and every choice we make now echoes into it. We weren’t made to cling to what fades. We were called to invest in what lasts. So the question isn’t just how you’re living today… It’s what your life is adding up to forever. Are you living for the dot—or the line?

You and I have been been friends and at one time you shared some info and was willing to fund a drip irrigation project here in rural Zambia. A lot has happened since then and it would be an honor to fill you in with some catch ups…we are working on rehabilitating an abandoned clinic to cater healthcare for a population of over 3000 people and honestly we are struggling financially hence your involvement in this project would bring a turn around of hope to my rural community. Let me know your thoughts and share your email address so I can forward some of our pix and vids for this upcoming project…thanks and God bless you sir.
