Strengths and Spiritual Gifts in the “Church”

As Christians in the church we may know more about “Strengths” than “Spiritual Gifts”. Our knowledge of “Strengths” usually comes from our work in the secular world and our desire to advance our careers. No problem with this. However, we should have same and more of a desire to discover our Spiritual Gifts and where the LORD would want to use us in His Church.
The Alpha Course Manual

Exploring Life Questions In A Safe Inviting Environment

Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S.A viewers. Thankful that there are creative ways to share the "Good News" !Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation.
Special young ladies from the Baja. Foundation For His Ministry

Mission Trips

"In 1966 we made our unforgettable trip to the then remote desert of the Baja Peninsula. There, in the dark of night, we came upon some old uninhabited adobe ruins. We heard the voices of little children where there were  no children. God gave us a vision of a home for children, a great harvest of souls for the kingdom of God, and a Bible institute like the one I attended as a young woman."

Stuart Briscoe’s Christian Perspective on Improving with Age

Stuart Brisccoe along with his wife, Jill, reminds us that our time on earth is short and whatever time we have left we can improve with age, so that when we meet the LORD we will hear, "Well done, My good and faithful servant." He presents a plan for us on how to number our remaining days because God's purpose for us is not finished. (Eph:2:10)

You’re 70, You’re Beautiful And You’re Mine

The card read “For My Beautiful Wife-A Birthday Wish Filled With Love.” A lovely pink card with an equally lovely sentiment. I was grateful for his kindness because at this age I rarely feel beautiful. That evening I was surprised to find another envelope inscribed “Another Card” (typical of my husband’s humor). When I opened it, I saw “You’re 70” with the 70 emblazoned in shiny red numbers—seven inches high!
Let There Be Water

Israel’s Solution For A Water-Starved World.

No decision made by the Zionist pioneers and the young State of Israel has had a greater impact on Israel's water culture than the decision to make water the common property of all. Unlike in the US, where water is a personal property right, in Israel all water ownership and usage is controlled by the government acting in the interest of the people as a whole. Available water is then allocated according to what is seen as the best use. Israel's water system may be the most successful example of socialism in practice anywhere in the world today.
He Restsores My Soul

Good to store some Joyful Songs in our Heart!

Because Jesus lives we can face tomorrow. We are reminded that Christ’s purpose in coming would help us face tomorrow, with all the uncertainty that it brings, especially at this time of the Covid-19 crisis, post election and beginning of a new year and all its uncertainty. We each have our own personal trials....be they health concerns, job losses, family relationships and maybe more.
