Welcome to Faith, Vision Service

In Memory of Naomi Dassow

This blog is dedicated to the memory of my beloved wife, Naomi Dassow—a faithful Christ Follower, nurse, servant, encourager, and compassionate friend to many.

A few days before her passing, Naomi encouraged me to continue the work of this blog. Her encouragement was a precious gift. Throughout her life, she reflected Christ’s love through her nursing, service to others, compassion for people in difficult places, and courageous trust in God through illness and loss.

For forty-five years, Naomi and I shared a life of faith, family, ministry, service, and many unexpected turns. Her life was not without hardship, but she continued to trust the Lord. Her hope was firmly anchored in Jesus Christ and in His promise of eternal life.

This website is one way I seek to honor Naomi’s memory. It offers encouragement, resources, stories, and practical reflections for people in every season of life—especially those seeking purpose, hope, healing, and their next faithful step.

May all that is shared here point beyond one person’s story to Jesus Christ—the One who gives purpose for today, hope in sorrow, and eternal life to all who believe in Him.

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
—John 11:25

About Richard

I am Richard Dassow—a Christ Follower, writer, and lifelong servant. My journey has included farming, church ministry, service alongside Naomi, family life, grief, mentoring, and a continuing desire to use the time, gifts, and resources God has entrusted to me well.

I do not write as someone who has all the answers. I write as a fellow traveler who has seen God’s faithfulness in both joyful and painful seasons. I believe that no one is too young, too old, too wounded, too late, or too ordinary to be used by God.

My hope is that this site will be a place of encouragement for you—a reminder that your life still has meaning, your experiences can bless others, and God may be leading you toward a new purpose even now.

Let’s Take the Next Step

Wherever you are today, I invite you to pause, reflect, pray, and remain open to what God may be doing in your life.

Your story is still being written.
Your season has meaning.
And your next faithful step may be closer than you think.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
—Proverbs 3:5–6

Come back often, we will have periodic updates.

If you have been encouraged…please consider emailing one of our posts to a friend or post on Facebook, a great way to encourage someone!

In closing, “May our LORD Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17) NIV
