The True Message of Easter: Hope, Eternity, and Jesus

The True Message of Easter: Hope, Eternity, and Jesus
Celebrate Jesus: The reason for the Season

Why Easter Matters Today

Douglas Horton once wrote, “At Easter the veil between time and eternity thins to gossamer.” This poetic phrase captures the profound significance of Easter: it is a moment when the ordinary and the eternal intersect in a way that is delicate, beautiful, and deeply meaningful. Easter isn’t just about the changing of seasons or the renewal of nature; it is the celebration of something far greater—the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the pivotal event that opened the door between humanity and Heaven.

The lyrics of an old hymn remind us, “Now I belong to Jesus, Jesus belongs to me, Not for the years of time alone, But for eternity.” Easter is important because it offers not just hope for today, but assurance for forever. Through Jesus’s victory over death, believers receive the promise of belonging to Him for eternity, transcending the limits of time and offering a relationship that endures beyond this life.

Resurrection Sunday

Charles Spurgeon captured the heart of Easter when he said, “We will give way no more to doubts and fears, but we will say to one another, ‘He is risen indeed; therefore let our hearts be glad.’” Easter is the source of true gladness and unwavering hope. The resurrection affirms that Jesus is not simply a moral teacher or a historical figure, but the living Son of God who conquered death. He is the only way to Heaven, as He alone bridges the gap between humanity and God.

The true message of Easter is this: Jesus’s resurrection is the cornerstone of faith, the proof of His divinity, and the assurance of eternal life for all who believe. As we celebrate Easter, may we set aside doubts and fears, embrace the joy of His victory, and remember that through Him, eternity is within reach. Wishing you a glad-hearted Easter and the peace that comes from knowing Jesus is risen indeed.

Whatever Things are True...

For any of us who may have experienced a personal loss…My personal message!

My wife Naomi and what she is experiencing right now!

How to Continue Praising the Lord Despite Physical Separation

Although my wife Naomi is now experiencing life with the Lord, We can still praise the Lord and Exalt His Name in Difficult Times

Let us praise the Lord together, and exalt His name.
Let us praise the Lord together and exalt His name

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. This profound passage from Proverbs 3:5-6 offers a guiding principle for believers, especially during times of deep sorrow and loss. The grief of losing a loved one, such as Naomi, is a poignant reminder of the mortal nature of life and the promise of eternal life with the Lord. However, the question arises: How can we continue to praise the Lord and exalt His name when our loved ones have found their eternal rest, leaving us here on earth?

The separation caused by death is only physical. Spiritually, believers remain united in their faith and hope in the Lord. Naomi, now in the presence of the Lord, continues her journey in the heavenly realm, while I am here on earth, carrying forward the legacy of faith and love. This shared faith offers a unique connection that transcends physical boundaries and allows for a continued partnership in praising and exalting the Lord’s name.

I can only imagine what Naomi is now experiencing!

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him”—1 Corinthians 2:9 I can only imagine!
