Cornerstone Church’s Grandparenting Ministry to Host Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summit 2025

Grafton, WI — Cornerstone Church is once again stepping into a pivotal role in the spiritual growth of families by hosting the Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summit 2025. As a satellite site for this nationally broadcast event, Cornerstone Church is inviting grandparents from Grafton and surrounding communities to join on Saturday, March 1st, for a day of inspiration, learning, and empowerment.

The Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summit is the only national conference focused exclusively on equipping Christian grandparents to pass their faith on to future generations. With a theme of “For This Purpose,” the 2025 Summit will challenge and inspire grandparents to embrace their God-given role in the spiritual development of their families. “Grandparents are one of the most influential, yet often untapped, forces for spiritual growth within families,” says Chuck Sigurdson, a member of Cornerstone Church’s Grandparenting Ministry Core Team. “At Cornerstone, we’re passionate about equipping grandparents to recognize and fulfill their unique biblical calling. The Summit is an unparalleled opportunity to do just that.”

Research consistently shows that grandparents have a profound impact on their grandchildren’s lives. From emotional support to faith formation, grandparents play a vital role in shaping the next generation. Yet many grandparents feel unequipped or unsure about how to intentionally pass on their faith.

This is where Cornerstone’s Grandparenting Ministry steps in. In addition to hosting events like the Legacy Coalition Summit, the ministry offers impactful series such as Grandparenting Matters and Equipping Intentional Grandparents, resources available from the Legacy Coalition. These initiatives provide a platform for education, encouragement, and practical tools.

Featured Speakers

The Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summit 2025 will feature a lineup of nationally recognized speakers, each offering valuable insights and actionable advice. Attendees will hear from:

• Larry Fowler, founder of Legacy Coalition, will inspire grandparents to embrace their God-given purpose in his session, Find Purpose as a Grandparent. With over 50 years of experience in children’s ministry, Larry’s impactful leadership and authorship, including books like Rock Solid Kids and Overcoming Grandparenting Barriers, make him a key voice in family discipleship.
• Dr. Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries and a youth leadership expert, will guide grandparents in pointing their grandchildren to biblical truth during his session, Purpose: Point Them to the Truth.
• Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Billy Graham, and her daughter Rachel-Ruth Wright, will lead an unforgettable session, Purpose: Think Four Generations, equipping grandparents to intentionally disciple their families for generations to come.
• Trudy Cathy White, daughter of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, will share practical guidance on instilling faith and character in her session, Purpose: Instill Family Values.
• Dr. Rob Rienow, founder of Visionary Family Ministries, will provide tools for strengthening family relationships in his session, Purpose: Build Family Unity.
• Harvey Carey, founding pastor of Faith Citadel Church, will equip attendees to share the gospel in a way that resonates with younger generations during his session, Purpose: Give Them the Gospel.
• Dr. James Banks, author of Prayers for Prodigals, will offer hope and encouragement for grandparents with wayward grandchildren in his session, Love Your Prodigal.

The Summit will take place on Saturday, March 1st, at Cornerstone Church Grafton. The event will run from morning to afternoon, with breaks for fellowship and refreshments. Registration is now open, and early bird pricing is available until January 31st.
